Title: The Consecration of Yahweh’s Priests 1
Passage: Exodus 29:1-34
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: November 18, 2018
The purpose of the consecration is that Aaron and his sons may serve me as priests. If you are going to be in God’s tent, in the tent of the King of all the earth, in the Creator who dwelt in holy Eden, you must first be holy. This ceremony will consecrate these men for such a significant task in the symbolic and representative way that god reveals here in these verses. The intention this morning is first to explain the ordination of the priests so that we understand what is going on here, and then draw out the most significant parts of this revelation for our edification.

Title: Yahweh’s Priests 3
Passage: Exodus 28:36-43
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: November 11, 2018
This is the third message of several sermons on the high priests of Yahweh, who served him in his sanctuary. These passages are vital to understanding of true religion, for our Lord Jesus himself is a priest. If we’re going to understand his ministry to us, we need to understand the priests. Part of the priestly ministry is revealed in the priests’ garments. Let’s continue considering the high priest and his ministry this morning together.

Title: Yahweh’s Priests 2
Passage: Exodus 28:6-35
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: November 4, 2018
If you look at v 4, you’ll see a list of garments Israel is to make: a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a coat of checker work, a turban, and a sash. The breastpiece and ephod go together, and they are together at the heart of the high priests’ garments. The instructions for the Tabernacle began with the Ark, at the heart of the Tabernacle. So God begins with the heart of the priestly garments, the ephod and the breastpiece.

Title: Justification: the Great Exchange
Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:21
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: October 28, 2018
Luther said of justification, “Nothing in this article can be given up or compromised…On this article rests all that we teach…Therefore we must be quite certain and have no doubts about it. Otherwise all is lost.” Calvin said of justification that it “is the main hinge on which religion turns.” Jonathan Edwards said that, “the highest glory of the gospel and the delight of the Scriptures is this very doctrine of justification through the righteousness of Christ obtained by faith.” It’s hard to add anything to these remarks. The doctrine of justification is at the heart of authentic Christian theology and practice. Every generation of Christians must rise to articulate and defend it. The key truth of this sermon is that sinners are acceptable to God only because Christ bore their sin and gave them his righteousness. This Reformation Sunday, we try to understand justification by way of 3 important truths in this passage.

Title: Yahweh’s Priests 1
Passage: Exodus 27:20 – 28:5
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: October 21, 2018
The morning we will look at Israel’s ongoing care for the lampstand, and then at the introduction of the high priests in the sanctuary of the Most High. The great overarching idea today is the great glory of the priestly office. If you can get that, then you should be well on your way to appreciating your own calling as a priest, but also adoring your Lord Jesus Christ, who is the preeminent priest of Yahweh.
