Title: Justification: Redeemed from the Curse
Passage: Galatians 3:10-14
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: November 1, 2020
Luther’s “discovery” of the doctrine of justification is important in part because he was soul in crisis. He knew the guilt of his sins. In studying Scripture, Luther discovered the truth that salvation was not based on his good works. Instead, salvation was a matter of God declaring us righteous through Jesus Christ’s grace. If we would be right in the sight of God, we must trust in Christ alone, who took our curse away at the cross.

Title: Morning by Morning New Mercies I See
Passage: Psalm 3
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: October 18th, 2020
As v 5 makes clear, this is a hymn to sing to God in the morning. yet the heading of the Psalm tells us that things are far from sunny for King David its author. In the latter years of King David’s reign, David’s good looking and charismatic son Absalom conspired to grab the kingdom’s throne for himself. it is during this time that Psa 3 was written. Its message is that even in the most discouraging times , believers should trust in the saving grace of the Lord.
