The big problem was these human regulations for worship. We are not allowed to make up our own doctrines or worship ordinances. Why do you submit to regulations? Paul asks. It’s not that religions rules are bad in themselves. Paul says in 1 Cor 9 that he is under the law of Christ. But He gives three more reasons the Colossians shouldn’t follow human worship.
