Title: The Pleasures and Perils of Serving Yahweh
Passage: Exodus 4:18-26
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: March 19th, 2017
The return to Egypt is now before us. The ESV breaks the text into three paragraphs, and in each of them we see how God prepares Moses for his great return to Egypt. These lessons are instructive for us, for they both unfold important parts of the Exodus narrative and illustrate timeless principles for God works with his servants. This morning, I want you to see that God graciously fits his servants for the work he wants them to do. We already know that God will be with Moses. As Moses returns to Egypt, we see something of what that looks like.

Title: He Does Whatever He Pleases
Passage: Exodus 3:16-22
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: March 5th, 2017
The LORD has sovereign power and authority over all things. Yahweh is in control over everything that happens in the book of Exodus. That is because the Lord is over everything that happens, period. This passage is not only about what is about to happen, it is also about a Sovereign God who foretells what will certainly happen because he decreed those events. In light of this truth, the point of this morning’s message is we should trust our sovereign God who does whatever he decrees. Why should we trust God?

Title: Holy Ground, Part 1
Passage: Exodus 3:1-6

When God reveals himself to men, he does so that they might believe on him and love him, so that we might worship and glorify him. So as we come face to face with a monumental passage like Exodus 3:1-6, the point must always be that we must respond to God’s true revelation of himself with faith and love. If it is true that we must respond to God’s true revelation of himself with faith and love, then we should want to know, how does God reveal himself to us? In the text, we see the Lord reveal himself to Moses in four ways:

Title: And These Are The Names Part 2
Passage: Exodus 1
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: November 20th, 2016
The book of Genesis closes with a dim but real ancient hope, uttered by the lips of Joseph, that God would bring his people to the Promised Land. The story picks right up in Exodus 1:1. As the first chapter of Exodus unfolds, we see, like the first lights of a new day on the eastern sky, the quiet opening acts by a God who keeps his word. No matter what the circumstances of life, you can trust God to keep his Word. In our passage this morning, we see three marks of God’s faithfulness to his promise

Title: The Covenant Love of God Part 2
Passage: Psalm 90
Speaker: Pastor Ryan Martin
Service: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Date: October 30th, 2016
Very few men really consider God’s wrath against sin. Very few know the anger God has with men when they turn from the reverence due to God. It is with this dire condition of mankind in mind that Moses turns in vv 12-17 to seek the mercy of the eternal God. These verses reflect how a man of God seeks the grace of God in light of the sad reality of the frail human condition. If God is our dwelling place, these verses show how he is so for his own.
